Husbands nicotine dependence

Hailey

When my husband and I first met he used a vape very frequently and had a high nicotine intake. I finally convinced him to stop when our son was born because I didn’t want there to be any chance of my son inhaling it or playing with the vape. Since then he’s been using nicotine pouches in his lip (like ZYN). I personally find it disgusting having a lip full of spit and nicotine juices so I don’t like to kiss him even a few minutes after he takes it out. It kinda made me lose some attraction towards him I guess because it’s just so gross to me. We’ve had many heated debates about him quitting but his response is always “there’s no tobacco so it’s not as bad as cigarettes and there’s no research saying it’s bad” - as a lab research tech, I have tried to explain to him that there’s no research to prove if it’s good or bad because it’s so new. Either way, I want him to stop and maybe get help for his nicotine dependence but there doesn’t seem to be anything I can find as all the CDC websites talk about tobacco and vapes but not pouches.
