Toddler going to sleep on their own?

Ok what are y’all doing to help your 2 1/2 year old fall asleep on their own and staying in their rooms all night?!
The past few months have been rough. She won’t fall asleep unless we stay in her room until she is asleep. And 6/7 nights she’s up in the middle of the night coming to our room and we have to take her back to hers. 
I need all the tips and help i can get! Mom and dad are exhausted.

Childproof door handle on the inside of his door so he can’t come out! “Locks” him in but not really. Also use the red/green light system. Honestly just a bad week or two of making him cry it out but now he knows that he had to stay in there and sleep when the light is red.

Do you have a 2-way monitor so you can talk to her from your room? Our formerly good sleeper has been fighting bedtime and waking up at night, but she’s still in a crib so she just screams for us. It’s really hard to leave her room once we go in, so we try to first calm her down by singing a lullaby or talking to her through the monitor. I would say it works 80% of time and I can go back to sleep much easier if I haven’t had to get out of bed to go to her room. We also have the red light/green light system so if she wakes up at night and starts yelling or crying, we just remind her that her light is still red and everyone should be sleeping.

Our daughter is still in the crib. That was literally our only saving grace during the two year sleep regression. I don’t know how we would have survived without her being in baby jail. She doesn’t climb out so we are riding this wave as long as possible. However, she still struggles with going down without putting up a fight some nights. I’ve tried everything and at one point resorted to letting her cry it out, which worked for a short period of time but she was quickly back to her old tricks. Recently we started telling her that she doesn’t have to go to sleep right away but she does need to lay there quietly and that seems to work for now. She will play with her dolls and sing little songs to herself. Sometimes she is up for an hour and sometimes it’s a few minutes. But as long as she is laying there, it’s fine in my book. We also tell her that we are going to bed as well so she doesn’t feel like she is missing out on anything. When all else fails, we bribe her with the promise of cookies/ice cream/the park the next day. 😂
