My first baby was so easy. Hardly cried and didn’t mind the car seat. Was content in the car about 95-99% of the time.

My second baby is 2 months old and screams at the top of his lungs, even if the drive is less than 10 minutes. Tonight he was crying so hard I could hear him nearly choking on his saliva.

Wtf do I do when this is happening? I can’t pull over every time he’s crying in the car seat, sometimes we’re on the freeway. But he turns beet red and I’m afraid he will actually choke on his saliva at some point and stop breathing. I can’t just not ever go in the car either??? I’m at a loss. It’s extremely exhausting and so difficult. I always make sure he’s positioned properly and harnessed properly, not too loose or tight. His car seat is at the correct angle. I try no air, I try air on high, I try medium air. I try windows down. Windows down works sometimes but not always plus it’s 100° where I live. I just feel like I’m going to lose it!
