Uti and thrush at the same time 😩
So I'm on the mirena, I've noticed every month just 1-2 days before my period I get mild thrush, minimal discharge and itchiness, not scratch myself raw sort of itchiness, but I never feel "fresh" just need to keep spraying a little water and I'm fine, once my period has started or is over, its gone.
This month I have a UTI too (its been a couple days, not getting any better), both at the same time, I'm not on any antibiotics but later I'm going to the pharmacy to pick up my sons prescription formula, would it be fine to ask the pharmacist for some antibiotics for a UTI and maybe buy some canesten for after my round of antibiotics if thrush gets worse (I heard antibiotics can give you thrush or make it worse), or would I need an actual doctors appointment for this?
I've got 2 kids of my own and babysitting 2 others today, one as per usual but the other unexpected because the schools closed for today, so I wouldn't have time for doctors and they're closed all weekend so I'd have to wait till Monday to see them.
Would a pharmacist even do that? I don't expect it to be prescribed and even if they can't prescribe it, I can pay (I don't usually pay for prescription) 🤷🏼♀️
