So my dog has recently passed at 13 years old and I was just thinking how much he loved babies. He was very protective of my ducklings when they were tiny, and would nip us if we played with them too much. He was present the entire time my cat gave birth to her kittens, just quietly sitting with her watching. And was always by my neighbours baby. As the babies all grew up he lost interest. Just wondering if anyone else’s pooch has done this. I think it was really sweet. He wasnt trained to do this, it was unexpected every time
