VBAC expierance?

Im expecting my second baby in 2 weeks How was everyone’s experience with VBAC for delivery go? Epidural no epidural?

I had a vba2c with my last and it went well. I chose to get an epidural after intense back labor. I pushed for about 45 minutes and baby was out. Make sure you have a fully supportive midwife and doctor. I highly recommend Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth. I felt like the book was a game changer for how I mentally and physically prepared for the birth.

I hD two babies after my C-section . NO EPIDURAL my Dr wanted to have everything natural So he can tell if anything is going wrong.
Don't be worry I had my baby in a minimum capability hospital during and thank God everything went smoothly.

If your doctor is confident that it is the safest route to take, go for it!  My doctor wanted me to have a vbac with my daughter after having my twins via C-section, but at 37 weeks, I wasn’t dilated at all and blood pressure was 170s/120s with protein beginning to show up.  Also had preeclampsia with my twins.  
Now that I’ve had 2 C-sections, he told me at my first prenatal appt last week “okay so we’re a repeat C-section”. 🥺
I would absolutely try a vbac if they’d let me!  Good luck!!  ❤️❤️❤️

I was in early labor for 4 to 5 days with back and hip contractions. I went in because the hip contractions were so painful, I asked for the epidural and thankfully I was already dilating. The epidural stopped my contractions, so I needed to be augmented with Pitocin. Not all doctors will use Pitocin for VBAC. I dilated very well, but then was pushing for four hours and needed forceps. Baby did great!
Overall I am glad I had a VBAC, but my recovery was much more difficult. I couldn’t sit or stand for about two weeks afterwards due to pain from the second-degree tears and stitches. I have mild bladder prolapse and I’m working with a pelvic floor PT.
