1 year old screaming and hitting
First time mom here due in September with baby #2.
So baby girl has started screaming and hitting. Not really out of anger.
Screaming I feel is more testing her voice/excitement. I've been trying to ignore the screaming when I know all her needs are met. Hoping that not reacting will at the very least not make her do it more if that makes sense.
When she hits she's in a good mood and smiling. We've tried saying 'ow' and 'no' to try and discourage it. Even with other things she doesn't really seem to respond to 'no' - if anything she thinks it's funny.
Just seeing if anyone has other tips or what has worked for them. I understand that she is only a year old and doesn't understand much. She's a very happy well behaved baby
. Just some things I would like to crush before they actually become more of a problem. I know how to handle things when it comes to older toddlers, but it's a learning process when it comes to younger babes for me.
