I met a woman two weeks ago. She’s about to be homeless, has no job or car. She’s also 22 weeks pregnant and baby daddy ran.

I’m legit about to step in as baby momma. I’ve offered her rides to interviews, appointments, work. Everything. I even offered to let her stay with me (with rent) if she gets a job in my city.

I’m going to start her a baby registry soon, she wants me to wait until she knows gender.

Is this weird? Should I step back? I just want her to be a happy healthy stress free mom and I want to do all I can for her!

My family is calling me crazy saying she will walk all over me and use me then leave. But I want a relationship with her, I’m not working and can provide childcare while she works. A safe home for her and baby, and rides as needed.
