Kiddo names?

Question

Looking for an old an school name (think 1920s) that uses Bea or Bee for a nickname. We arent sold on Beatrix, Beatriz, Bettie, Betty, Beatrice...so looking for something creative but also vintage sounding. Kiddo is quite feisty in the uterus and somehow Beatrix doesnt suit that. And def not looking for popular or modern. Thoughts?

I love Beatrix, makes me think of Beatrix Potter, and it’s uncommon now, which is nice (alternative spelling: Beatrice). Traditionally Bea could be short for Bernice or Bernadette (think Bernadette Peters). I could see using it as a nickname for Bethany or Behida  or Rebecca or Roberta (or Betty) or Elspeth (an old Scottish version of Elizabeth, which you can also use the nickname Elsie for, which I love) or Elsbeth (German version of Elsbeth). But sometimes nicknames also don’t have to correlate directly -  if I think “Bea” and 1920s I think of actress Bebe Daniels, whose name was actually Phyllis.

Beatrix is a lovely and rebellious name! 🥰 Hubby vetoed it for our daughter. She could go by Bea or Trixie like in the show Call the Midwife.
Y’all seem to have it narrowed down pretty good! Maybe when she’s born one of those names will just fit her!
