Tdap side effects?

Has anyone had bad side effects after getting the tdap vaccine? I received it last Thursday and ever since I’ve been vomiting, headaches, my right right of my body hurts so bad and I’m feeling terrible overall. My doc said the side effects could last 7-10 days. I am so miserable. 🥲
Update: I should probably add that I have an auto immune disease (lupus) and I think the vaccine isn’t reacting well with my body. ☹️
Update 2: thank you everyone. my doctor told me to go to the ER because it feels like I’m having contractions. At labor and delivery now will keep you all updated.

With my first my arm was just sore.  However, j declined this pregnancy, as it isn’t really necessary.  My OB also said we get too many vaccines, and he seemed to be against it.  So I passed this time:

I was going to say I usually only get a sore arm with this one, but got it yesterday and all of a sudden having a low-grade fever, chills, and nausea within the past hour. Hopefully it’s just the shot and not getting sick.

Only sore muscle if I dont drink enough water. But yeah, auto immune disorders can be affected by vaccines, so with Lupus that is probably why you are having a strong reaction. They should have really read off warnings to you on that to gauge the risk to you vs benefits to baby. The vax is to pass the antibodies from you to baby via placenta so they are covered in first 6 months of life. TDap is mostly for the 'p' (pertussis) which is whooping cough and can be fatal to new borns. They can't get the vaccine themself that young thus given to the mom to pass on. But if there is no intent for others to be near your kid or you got TDaP in the last 10 yrs already then likelihood of exposure to your baby is low. Of course that information is a too little too late. Hoping you recover sooner than later!!!

Hope you feel better. It is actually unethical to be giving pregnant woman vaccines, as there are no clinical studies to determine them being safe or effective and there is no way of determining what role/effect they play on your unborn child. I hope you feel better and baby is fine as well.

Are you sure you didn’t just get sick around the same time? Ofc there can be side effects but what you’re experiencing is rare. I’ve had lots of tdaps with zero side effects beyond a sore arm.

Nope, I got it on Tuesday and only side effect is my arm is sore.

No.. and I refused this time around. I’ve gotten it with 4 of my other kids that I’ve had back to back in the last 6.5 years and never had side effects besides my arm hurting.
