Describe labour pains?

Question

I realize this is probably impossible to describe and is different for everyone but can anyone describe what labour pain is like?
I don't really get period pain so I have no reference. Is it sharp? Achey? Both? In the abdomen or the back? Anything for an idea really. FTM here

The closest thing (except intense period pains) would imo be Diarrhea cramps. Like, really bad ones.

Girl they hurt so bad, I couldn’t even talk what I was having them & when I got the epidural I couldn’t feel them anymore but I knew I was having them because I would have a huge squirt come out

Depends. I've had two already and only epidural once. With epidural just losts of pressure and like i have to poop really bad but the gas is stuck plus a backache.
No epidural felt like my crotch was on fire when i had to push 😭😭😭 the contractions felt so bad like cramps that take your breath away and i felt like i could pass out. I feel like i barely even opened my eyes. 
Considering an epidural this time 😅

My labor with my last was only in the front of my pelvis and very low. Doctors claim there is a lot of "pressure" but honestly for me it felt like inside my hips were squeezing. My stomach also went through waves of getting tight but due to being used to the Braxton Hicks I had during the end of that pregnancy I didn't notice the tightness of my upper stomach. My pain was like severe menstrual or digestive cramps all in the front. 
Back labor is an extreme lower back pain that radiates around your sides from what I've heard.
