FTM: When did you start to feed your babies purées?

And did you start with baby food in jars or completely skip that and make your own purées?

4 months for my children.

Mine got oatmeal at 4 months, vegtables at 5 months, and fruits at 6 months. I made my own and bought some

Our pediatrician gave us the green light to start first foods and oatmeal when our son was four months old.

Made my own. I didn’t start until 6 months as she wasn’t even remotely interested until then and even at that age it’s just for fun for babies. I just wanted to introduce BLW to her and she showed interest.

I did BLW at 6 months but I also made my own with a thicker texture to it and did that once a day as well

My pediatrician gave me the go ahead for my daughter at 4 months, I got jars. It turned into her more interested in food than a bottle, my kids a foodie. 😂

With my son I stayed around 5 months. I bought the jars for him. I gave him foods almost all babies like first. 
With my daughter I waited until 6 months. I am making my own this time. She has been completely uninterested in any kind of food until the last week. She’s 8 months. She is now tolerating it but not enjoying it. I started her off with the same foods as my son.

My son is 4 months so waiting on pediatrician approval. He has his appointment on Monday. Obviously when he’s ready I’ll give it to him. I plan on making my own so I can use breast milk and organic veggies. It’s cheaper as well to make it at home.
