Has anyone had pre-eclampsia??

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has had pre-eclampsia and what week gestation you were diagnosed with it??  Long story short I had some labs done about a month ago that put me in the “risk” range of developing it, and the past 3 days I’ve had a wicked headache and stomach ache and I took my BP and it was 149/90 (usually runs 100/60). I had a nurse only BP check today and it was 147/92 in clinic. But my doctor hasn’t gotten back to me at all. Just looking for any similar experiences, thanks!

I had it with my last pregnancy. I had swollen but I put it down to being normal pregnancy stuff and didn’t seek help. Called unit on the Friday night when I had a blinding headache that would not budge after painkillers. They brought me in, and after a few hours and some painkillers from them I was sent home. Monday had a check up with my midwife who sent me straight back and said the swelling wasn’t normal, they diagnosed me that day with preeclampsia. Spent the week inducing (literally lol) 2 sweeps, pessary, eventually got put on a drip and had him early hours Friday. My BP was still high after so kept in hospital another 3 days and sent home with medication. 
30 weeks on Thursday and so worried my hands have swollen abit and my ankles but I don’t know the difference between normal pregnancy swelling or when to be worried 🤷‍♀️ xx

Your systolic BP is high I would call for check up. I’m a nurse in the UK and we would be called to maternity assessment at our maternity hospital x

I’ve had severe preeclampsia twice. Each time was completely different. My first I started swelling at 20 weeks. Went in for a checkup at 34 1/2 weeks and had protein in my urine. Sent me straight to the hospital. Started on mag, induced two days later. My 2nd, started at 30 weeks. They didn’t catch it until 37 weeks. Started on mag and induced. Now they are watching me very closely but I can already tell I’m headed down the same path. I’m 27 weeks now.

I had preeclampsia with my first. Diagnosed at 38+1, had baby that day (they were going to induce but then went into labor). I had high blood pressure that came on suddenly and protein in my urine. Didn’t feel anything different day of

I’ve been wondering about peoples pre eclampsia symptoms too- I’ve been having radiating pain from my ribs through my back and a terrible stomach ache, just generally feeling really lethargic. Debating whether I just caught a bug or whether it’s from pre e, my blood pressure has been very normal though to date

I had preeclampsia in my first pregnancy. I was diagnosed at 34 weeks, but had been having pain under the right side of my rib cage for at least 5 weeks, felt very short of breath and significant swelling & sudden weight gain. My blood pressure was normal until 34 weeks, Most of my pregnancy I was 115/55, the it went from 130/60 to 168/98 in a matter of hours. I was sent to a larger hospital to be monitored and started on BP medication which made me feel SO much better. I was able to return to my small town hospital for a scheduled c section at 36+6. All of my non stress tests showed baby was totally fine. I had to go on the BP meds again post partum because my pressure went up again. But all resolved by 6 weeks post partum.
