Guys i need advice. All my life I’ve been bossed around and being told what to do, what to eat, what to wear now I’m 20 and still being told on what to do. In high school i wanted to get a job because my parents never got me what i really wanted . My mother didn’t want me to get retail or a fast food job because she didn’t want me to get treated bad. The job that she was okay with me having was after school counselor and now I’m paraprofessional. I’ve been working with kids for about 6 years and realized this isn’t my passion. I actually wanted to go into medical field. I was forced to go into college and actually was suppose to do a nursing program but it was a wait list so my mother told me to choose a different major. Right now I have one year left to get my bachelors degree in business administration and this is not even what I want to do. Everyone tells me the medical field is hard to get into and you have to work your way up if you don’t have connections inside. I actually wanted to be a medical assistant however financial aid does not pay for two schools or degrees and i don’t have the money to come out of pocket. I took a course in phlebotomy but it seems like that doesn’t get you no where. I spoke to someone and they said to do HHA since i wanna work my way up but is that going to help? I’m 20 years old with nothing to fall back on and everyone else has their own car , apartment etc… also I don’t wanna be doing something in the future that I don’t even Iike doing . Any advice ?
