Long post— 36 weeks and Worried!!
I am a little over 36 weeks pregnant with our second baby. I have hashimotos and hypothyroidism, which has been monitored the entire pregnancy and my numbers have been great since upping my thyroid medicine.
About 2 weeks ago, I started having contractions and going into preterm labor. I was given steroid shots for baby’s lungs and an antibiotic / fluids and meds to stop the contractions. They said I was slightly dehydrated and had an undiagnosed (at that point) uti. 😬
While there, they were trying to get the iv in and my veins were not cooperating. It took a few attempts and blood was just pouring out of my arm, like water. I also noticed when I had gotten the tdap shot that even that tiny needle made blood run down my arm. I also had issues with my nose bleeding in the second trimester, everytime I went to blow it there was blood. It has since stopped as of a few weeks ago.
I brought up my concerns to my OB and blood was drawn. These are the results from 6/28 and then it was redone on 7/8 to monitor. I haven’t started any supplements or anything.
Has anyone been in a similar situation (with a previous or current pregnancy) where your iron, red blood count/cells and platelets were all low in and all was ok??? I’m worried about bleeding issues during labor and my baby boy’s health.. or some other issue that isn’t being caught.

I’m trying not to get myself too worked up, but I won’t hear anything from the office until tomorrow afternoon when my dr is in again.
