Help!Scary intrusive thoughts at night

I need help! I haven’t been able to sleep a full night in weeks. I’m usually a good sleeper but lately I’ve been having intense and scary intrusive thoughts as soon as I turn off the lights in my bedroom. One of my fears is that I’ll wake up and experience sleep paralysis. I have lots of fears about people watching me in my sleep to the point that I’m scared to move when the lights go out. I’m progressively getting more nightmares too, i think it’s because of how stressed I am before falling asleep. This is all new to me, I’m actually a huge fan of horror novels but haven’t read one in almost a year so I’m not sure where any of this is coming from. Do any of you experience this? Does anyone have ideas on how to get over this so I can get my healthy sleep schedule back?
