Did anyone go to the OBgyn before ttc for a preconception appointment

I went for a check up w/ pap and blood work just to check out levels and stuff 👍🏼 We did some counseling too about how long it can take. You don’t have to but I  just did since it was an offered as an option for appointments!

I kind of wrapped it in with my annual pap smear appointment. The obgyn didn't have much to say other than some basics that can be learned on this app. Pretty much just start taking a prenatal vitamin and have patience because it can take some time to be successful. At the second annual pap smear when I stoll wasn't successful, she offered a little more information (again info I already had from this app anyway). If I'm still unsuccessful after a few more months, I will be referred to the infertility clinic. So basically I don't think it's necessary to visit before ttc unless you have a particular concern, just start taking a prenatal vitamin and explore this app if you want to learn more or just have some fun and see what happens.

Yeah but only because I’m always very high risk in normal days let alone pregnancy so need to be checked and cleared and change medications first

I did because of past fertility issues. I’m pregnant with a third without fertility intervention so nothing was really done after the appointment. We had more of an accidental pregnancy.
