Bottle fed, how to know when baby is full?

Question

My baby will finish the bottle, then nudge like he wants more but be content with taking a pacifier. He will drink 4-5 oz from the bottle. I don’t want to over feed him. How much are y’all feeding your babies? He’s 4 months tomorrow.

my LO is 4 months old and used to drink 5-6 but now is 3-5 oz of formula
the pediatrician said though that his intake can be very fluid and each baby is different but should at least drink 4-6 oz every 3-4 hours
my husband and i quickly figured out that when he wasn't finished eating he WOULD NOT be happy with just a pacifier and would scream and cry but when he is full and we put his pacifier in and doesn't scream or cry he is satisfied 🙂

My LO will drink anywhere from 4-6oz per feeding. Lately she has been drinking more 6oz bottles than anything. When she is full she will turn away or push the bottle out or just leave it there and not actively suck. A couple weeks ago I was only offering 5oz and she would plaster the entire thing and cry right away or after an hour or two after the feeding when normally she feeds every 3 hours like clockwork so I knew she wanted to start taking more. I just try to go with the flow and follow her ques. We pace feed too which helps their body signal when they are full.

My son will be 5 months in 2 weeks and he drinks 5.5 oz. When he’s full he will push the bottle away or turn his head when he’s done.
