Anyone else’s newborn just eat sleep poop pee? And stays up for very short amount of time?

I just ask because my first was like this minus the sleep 
He slept but it was a crazy roller coaster lol 
This time this is all he does literally, SLEEPS 😂

Isn’t this exactly how newborn babies are supposed to be? They should be asleep basically most of the time… right? When not asleep, they should be feeding and pooping & peeing. Awake for a tiny period of time and back to sleep then the cycle starts back again.

My son sleeps tons but newborns are suppose to, his wake windows range from 30min-1 1/2 hours. He was very jaundice, we don’t have compatible blood, it’s normal for them to eat, poop, and sleep

My girl has always been at higher end of sleep in a day. Even at 11m! As a newborn she slept around 18hrs a day!

Our newborn baby was sleeping loads in first couple days home and it was due to jaundice it makes them sleepy, I really struggled to wake her to get fluids in her. Was told to feed every 3 hours n aim to get it up to 90ml a feed to flush out jaundice. Did this and after 5 days the jaundice was gone and she gained weight nicely n now she’s a lot more regular and is now awake for about an hour of wriggle time in her playmat a few times a day too. (And wide awake at 3am too lol! But hoping that will pass!)
