Contractions or Gas?

38w5d and i keep having these dull achy cramps that give me gas. once i pass gas i feel better. i looked it up and it said contractions can resemble that feeling. my belly also gets tight on and off but sometimes it’ll tighten when my baby moves. i have no idea if i’m having contractions or not😭 can someone do their best to help me figure this out?

I gave birth on the 9th of July to my second baby, I had this same issue where I had no idea if the pain I was feeling was because I needed a number 2 or because I was in Labour. The pain was happening at each contraction although it took me an hour or so to figure this out as the pain at this point was so dull. With my first my contractions were more like period pains, this time around it was like I had been holding in a poo all day. The pain started at 4.30am on Friday, and I gave birth on Saturday at 5:46am!

Same deal 38,2 days. It’s tight on and off in my upper belly but baby also moves from Time to time. I guess I just won’t do anything until it’s painful and hard to breathe. Last time my water broke so I didn’t have to worry about the guessing game.

Probably both. I'm 39 weeks. Super gassy, and had to poop, but also feeling belly hardening like contractions. Finally pooped. Lol. Still gassy, but definitely still having contractions. They are irregular though so I'm thinking just braxton hicks.
