Daycare problems
I am fully aware that my June baby is strong willed, sensitive, and has trouble listening. He’s been very challenging at home lately but we are working on it and seeing some improvement by being consistent in our parenting of him.
However, he is having MAJOR issues at daycare. Just this week he’s been sent home twice, and had eight behavior reports. They range from being disruptive during nap time (he will not nap there), to hitting others, climbing on things he’s not supposed to, and trying to escape out the emergency doors. I have no idea what is going on. We talk to him about the issues afterwards and he knows that he’s not supposed to be doing what he’s doing, but he continues to do it.
I’m at my wits end of trying to figure out how to help him. He’s strong willed at home, but pretty much acts like a typical three year old. Seems like it’s on a completely different level at school. I’m terrified of him starting preschool in the fall and getting kicked out of the program.
Is anyone else struggling with this?
