Question for landlords/property managers

If you had a tenant who was never missed a payment of rent , they were always on time or most times early . If they came to you and asked to get the late fee waived because they was going to be late on rent for the first time would you ? I’m in this situation as the tenant and i want to ask my property manager if it’s possible to not get charged the late fee because I don’t believe I’ll have all my rent money until a week after rent is due .
