DVT during pregnancy?
I'm 36 weeks pregnant. Yesterday I sent a picture to my friend (who happens to be a medical professional), of my foot. I sent it because it looked crazy gross. She then expressed she was concerned and told me not to Google anything but to contact my doctor in the morning, as asymmetrical swelling can be a sign of something more concerning.
I have HORRIBLE varicose veins. I have since 13 weeks. Because of this, I wear compression socks from the time I wake up until I go to bed. If I take them off, my leg goes numb. My right leg has always had it worse, but they have spread to my left leg as well.
Two days ago my right foot just completely ballooned up. I took pictures so I could monitor it. I assumed it was because I had been on my feet most of the day. However, yesterday it happened again. It doesn't start out terrible, but gets worse as the day goes on. By the end of the night, I could barely move my toes. 🤦♀️ My other foot/ankle has zero to mild swelling.
There's no real pain. My calf feels like the most mild pain, like a pulled muscle. But otherwise my foot is just purple and numb.
I will call my doctor when they open, but like, how concerned should I be? 🤔 Anyone else experience this?
Including gross photos, sorry! O
