Went in for a scheduled MRI .. left w/finding out I’m 4.5wks pregnant 🤷🏼♀️❤️🍼
I have had an MRI scheduled on my Brain/Neck for my increasingly severe & more frequent migraines last Friday. The nurse said since I was trying to conceive that I needed to take a pregnancy test prior to my appointment in the morning .. so I peed on the stickyyy & I was of course running late so I just shoved it in the pocket of my joggers & was out the door .. presuming that the test would be negative, I just planned on giving it a double-take prior to walking into the appointment office. Fast-forward about 15 minutes .. im aggressively driving to my appt when suddenly some A******* whips out in front of me, causing me to slam on my brakes & guess what fell out of my pocket ?! .. my pregnancy test!! I thought to myself “I guess I should just double check that now to get it over with” .. again I 100% assumed it was going to be negative & I’d be on my merry way into my MRI I’ve been awaiting patiently for months now! I glanced at the test .. wait, WHAT .. I DOUBLETOOK the test now for a second time almost wrecking in the process .. IT’S ITS .. P-O-S-I-T-I-V-E ?!!!! “OMG SHUT UP SERIOUSLY?!” I thought back to myself .. YASSS!! I instantly did a U-Turn In the middle of a 5 lane state route & headed back home to tel my fiancé! What amazinggggg mess this was .. & unlike my first pregnancy with my oldest daughter Lily (in which I was only in my second year of college & only 19 years old when I got pregnant with her & at the time still living with my mom & I just remember feeling absolute DREADDDDD at the thought of having to tell her I was pregnant back then in 2011) Fadt Forward 12 years now & I am not engage, living in our home in which my fiancé & I own as of May 2018 living a very much more stable & financially reliable lifestyle where I couldn’t not wait to tell our parents the good news & this time around we’re going to do the whole shebanggg .. we are going to do a gender reversal party this time & have a pregnancy photoshoot to announce via our social media later this fall once we’ve reached past the first trimester to all of our extended family & friends & this time I also get to share the entire experience with our now 10 year old daughter whom can NOT WAIT to be a big sister (P.S. she’s literally been begging us for at least the past 5-6 years for a brother/sister). Below is a photo also of how we told our oldest daughter when she came home the following Sunday from a sleepover weekend celebration she attended with her best friend whom had moved out of town .. ahhh I loveddd her reaction too! 🍼👶🏼❤️
