I'm curious what other people's thoughts are on giving their children different last names. I know it is common with parents separating but my daughter has my partner's last name (we are unmarried but common law and I dont plan on ever changing my last name) and we are now expecting a second child and I am considering giving the child my last name. Both children would have the same parents but one would have dads last name and one would have moms. I know this would be very unconventional and im just wondering some other opinions and thoughts on it! I'm already picturing the comments I will get about it from family...
