Pumping confusion
Hi all, baby has history of tongue tie and has a high palate due to this so we still have some lengthy feeds and position issues.
I have been recommended to pump as often as possible by some IBCLCs after the baby has fed but didn't get to check the following so any advice would be appreciated:
1) Do you give your babies the expressed milk via bottle (if so details on when/why) or just store the expressed milk?
2) How do you find the time to pump when baby feeds for ages and has tiny gaps in-between feeds?
3) What to do if I finish pumping and the baby wants to feed sooner than planned - would I not have taken most of their next feed from them? (I know breasts never truly empty).
4) Do you feed and pump for as long as you plan to breastfeed or is it temporary and if so, when would you stop?
Many thanks in advance!
I'm struggling to find a routine to pump
