How do you know everything is okay..?

This question may sound silly but my last pregnancy was a silent miscarriage, I had no idea that I lost the baby. We only found out at our 8 week appointment when there was no heartbeat. Thankfully this pregnancy we heard a heartbeat and I am 10 weeks along, but how do I know that everything is okay between appointments…? Will they know the baby is okay and alive with the genetic blood tests? Or do I have to wait for my 13 week ultrasound..??

I’m in a similar boat to you- previous losses and currently 11 weeks and anxious, even having seen the heartbeat twice. From what I’ve read the odds are now much more in our favour which I am holding on to. I try to do lots of positive affirmation and avoid any stories about later miscarriages and losses because I tend to fixate on them. Hope that helps. Good luck mumma x

I bought a fetal Doppler to check on my babies heart in between appointments

Some doctors will do an anxiety scan after 8weeks for reassurance for the mom. I had absolutely no symptoms till week 34 of pregnancy so I was constantly seeing my doctor for reassurance scans.

They won’t know if the baby is ok or alive with genetic testing. I had 6 pregnancies, 2-2nd trimester losses. Both of my losses genetic testings was normal and so was the pathology results. Most of the times miscarriages and stillbirth is not known even with testings.
