I just broke up with my boyfriend whom we have planned to get married next year after going through his phone last night and finding texts of him flirting with other women.

What hurts me is that he did cheat in the past, we had agreed that if I was to take him back he would stop talking to his sidechick and even that he couldn’t do. We broke up many times bc I caught him talking to her.

1/I took him back again (bc Im dumb) last September and seen that he talked to her in February. She told him stuff like : Tell your gf to fuck off and he swept it under the rug saying stuff like : I have no animosity towards you, it’s all about positivity etc..

2/ I seen him dm other women and calling them beautiful or flirting with them

3/ He said to one girl that if she had stayed in Malaysia (We studied there then left for another country, she left too apparently) he would have dated her and mind you we were still together during those times.

Because we were getting ready to get married, our family and friends know about the other one. I don’t know why I feel guilty about ending this. A side of me is telling me that I am overreacting and that I know all these girls are just flings, nothing serious. I know how deep he loves me (even with all of these mistakes) and I am so scared he is hurting rn bc of the way I ended things.

Was breaking up a good thing ? Shouldn’t I give him another chance ? Did I overreact ?
