Bupap (butalbital/acetaminophen) during pregnancy?
Prescribed by midwife but seeing its iffy online in some places and outright stated it isn't recommended during pregnancy in other places?
I have really bad migraines occasionally during my pregnancy. I have a 5 y/o, special needs 3 y/o, and 2 y/o so sleeping it off, staying somewhere dark/quiet or just napping is not an option. Had an appointment today and told midwife about the headaches and she prescribed Bupap (butalbital/acetaminophen).
I picked it up from the pharmacy right before lunch, didn't think to ask the pharmacist if it was safe because it was prescribed by a midwife who knows I'm 17 weeks pregnant after all? But while I was waiting in line somewhere else, I decided to look it up and it says not recommended during pregnancy?
Has anyone else had this prescribed? I'm kinda scared to take it now. My migraines last 3-4 days but I only get them every couple of weeks so it would only be used once or twice a month and my midwife knows. What would you do? I'm kind of nervous and leaning toward dealing with the 4 day long migraines instead.
