Should i be mad? Bf not around to pick me up?

I am.going into hospital for a day procedure in September. One I'm nervous about and have to be sedated for. I had asked my boyfriend to drop me and pick me up afterwards. And if I could stay with him that night. as i was advised i cant drive and should not be alone that night. we don't live together. He said yes but he forgot about it and is going to a different county to see a comedian with his friends. I'm Ina sticky situation now as I have no1 to pick me up. My parents don't drive. He said his friends payed 120euro for the ticket so he can't really tell them he can't go now. Should I be mad about this or just get over it and book a cab to take me home?

I would be incredibly frustrated, but my husband has also dropped everything and flown across the country to me when I was having a meltdown. Keep in mind that his actions are very telling in how he feels about you.

Yes you should be mad, and also reconsidering some things. If seeing a comedian with his friends is more important to him than making sure the person he’s supposed to care about most and possibly spending the rest of his life with is safe and has a place to stay after a surgery, then I’d be questioning his priorities

If you go the taxi or uber route one of your parents will more than likely still need to come with you.  Hospitals generally won't release you to the care of a ride share driver

Hell yeah I'd be upset! He told you yes then forgot. So what if his friends paid 120 euro? He can pay him back. He needs to cancel his plans and be there for his girlfriend that he's already committed to helping.

Oh, HELL NO! He can ABSOLUTELY say no to his friends and they can give the ticket to someone else! He can tell them, "My girlfriend is having surgery," and they would totally understand! He's CHOOSING to prioritize having a fun night out over taking care if you in your time of need.
There is no way in hell that my husband would have ever pulled a stunt like that while we were dating! After only a couple of months together, I was sick and spent the night in the ER. I spent the next couple of days recovering at my parents'. He hauled ass to visit me there even though he wasn't ready to meet them.
