My son just turned 2 a few days ago. He has started screeching over the pas month or so at the very top of his lungs. I don’t mean a temper tantrum. I mean a blood curdling scream that cracks his voice it’s so loud. He does this whenever he doesn’t get exactly what he wants. It is so loud it sends me over the edge. I’m truly triggered by it and feel like crying because it is so loud. I’m terrified my neighbors (apartment) are going to call CPS because it sounds like a pained scream as if I’m hurting him. He does not stop unless I give him what he wants, which is usually the iPad or sweets. Yesterday I was so desperate he ate probably 6 cookies throughout the day. Otherwise he would screech. I can’t distract him. He will NOT stop. I have tried everything. He’s so determined. I don’t know what to do. No matter how hard I try to redirect him he won’t stop screaming. I’m also scared he’s legit going to hurt his throat. It’s the loudest screech I’ve ever heard a child make in my life.
