I had a baby with fetal macrosomia. He was born 10 lbs and 13 oz. He’s now 5 weeks and 2 days and he eats 4 oz sometimes 5 about every 2 hours. He was eating every 3 hours but he seems to be getting hungrier sooner. He will cry and cry and I can’t stand to see his face get so red, so I keep feeding him what he wants because I was told at his age he eats on demand. He rarely spits up, and I was told spit up was a sign they’re being over fed. I’m sorry if I sound stupid, I’m a first time mom and I’ve never cared for a baby with fetal macrosomia before and I don’t know anyone who has or can relate. Everyone keeps telling me he eats too much and that I’m over feeding him but I’m really not sure if that’s true but I’m getting upset with the judgment I’m receiving from everyone. The doctor asked me how much he eats and didn’t say anything about it when I told her the amount so I assumed it was fine. I guess I just need advice especially from people who have had macrosomic babies
