When will baby make entrance

Question

So I went to my 37 week appointment today , I am dilated to a 2cm and 70% effaced. Just curious if anyone has ever had this . I know you can be dilated for awhile . My induction date is August 15th . But would love to go on my own . He said he could feel babies head very well .

One week ago from today I was dilated 1 cm and 70% effaced.. but still over here waiting 😅 
Due date is tomorrow and not many signs of labor!

With my 1st I had an appointment and my cervix was closed and posterior at 40 weeks, I went into labor that night.
With my 2nd, I was dilated 2-3cm from 37 weeks and still didn't have baby until 40 weeks.

Sounds fairly normal
You could be dilated like that for a few more weeks, or you could progress really fast. There’s no real way to tell sorry!
