Is it time to switch doctors?
So i went to a new gyno in April. I thought she was great and thought i was going to like her a lot. When i went in April she was helpful choosing a birth control, did a Pap smear, didn’t mind that i didn’t choose to get weigh, gave me std testing, etc… It was nice.
However i went again a second time this week to see how the birth control treating me and go over my labs results. I told her my concerns about birth control and her response made me feel a certain way. For example i told her that the birth control made me extra emotional (before birth control i didn’t cry at romance movies but now i am), or how i feel very nauseous in the mornings every day. For the emotional part her response was my body still getting used to it. When i said i was nauseous she said i could switch birth control, ditch it, or continue. Then she brought up about my weight and if i was doing okay. I told her that I’ve been eating healthy and exercising and that i noticed it’s harder to loose weight on birth control and feel like I’m stuck. She told me “it’s ur diet stop eating starchy food” . Then when i tried explaining to her that i was loosing weight before birth control i could notice it and she just said to give it some time and we will go over it next visit. My next visit is in a year….
When i first went to her in April i felt heard and seen but this time i feel like she not listening to my concerns….
Should i try a new doctor or am i just being over dramatic?
