Induced for measuring too small?

I have a follow up Friday and doctor said a while ago if baby is close to or under 10th percentile they would induce because its likely baby will grow more being on the outside rather than in. Baby girl has been measuring roughly 11.5 percentile since I was 21 weeks… has anyone had this happen in prior pregnancy? Did baby actually come out super small?

My baby was always in the 10% but nothing under, he was born 9 days early and weighed 6lb12oz so he was still a regular size baby 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have, my last daughter was IUGR and induced at 37w4d and it was right. 
She was 4lbs15oz.

I’m a bit worried about this too, in my last appointment my baby measured in the 12 percentile, they told me to go back in two weeks to check again but I’m just anxious. He was being rather big until week 30 or so.

My niece was just born a few months ago. They induced her because her stomach was measuring too small. When she was born she was small but not super small. Her stomach size has since improved but did need to be on meds for reflux or something. Now she’s perfectly healthy and starting to chunk up lol

Yes my first pregnancy was IUGR (asymmetrical, just his belly measured very small and his overall was about 11% tile). I was induced at 39w3d though, they let him cook awhile thankfully. He was 6lbs 9oz, exactly what the 39 week US predicted. He did spend 48 hours in the NICU due to low blood sugars. Not sure if it was related to his size at all because he actually was a fairly normal size.
