First time mom: newborn Essentials

Hi ladies, I'm currently a little over 5 weeks with our first baby after 4 long years of ttc. I'm currently working on our baby registry so that it's ready for friends and family when I'm around 5 months. I have done some research, but if you guys could post your absolute newborn must haves I would greatly appreciate it!

ofc diapers, wipes, bottles, muslin blankets (my personal preference for blankets), and clothing. all the basics, but i probably could not live w/out our sound machine. we use the Hatch Rest+ and we absolutely love it.

They need so much less than everything makes you believe, BUT every mom is different! Our most used and loved items were zip up sleep sacks (pricey but worth it), Sophie the giraffe (also pricey but for some crazy reason, worth it), Wubbanub pacifiers with the animals attached, Dr Brown Options+ bottles, a stroller and car seat that you are super comfortable with (go to Buy Buy Baby if you have one and assemble/disassemble/lift etc; we have the Graco Modes Nest and love it.), and the Dr Frida picker tool (people swear by the snot suckers, but the picker tool has worked great for us and she’s 17 months now).

The Ollie swaddle has been a must have, our girl busted out of EVERY other swaddle we tried, or they would constantly ride up around her neck which gave this first time mama way too much anxiety. The Ollie velcros around their shoulders and then ties at the bottom, and you only need one size (vs having to size up as baby gets bigger)! It can also be used with arms out when baby is ready to transition!
