What do you eat pot roast with?

I’m making pot roast for the first time and I don’t know what to pair it with… do you eat it over rice? Mashed potatoes? By itself? There’s already potatoes in the pot roast so I feel like pouring the roast over mashed potatoes would be over doing it you know? What do you suggest?

I either do the pot roast and rolls OR I don’t put potatoes in the roast and make mashed potatoes as the side!

I’m making missippi pot roast this weekend and putting it over mashed potatoes with a green veggie on the side!
If I make my roast with carrots and potatoes, I put it over rice. 
Some times we just eat it in a bowl like stew and pair it with bisquick biscuits! 
And we we used left over meat on sandwiches!
