Are hiccups normal this far along??

Question

Just read online that hiccups after 32 weeks daily are not normal. 
This baby has had hiccups daily since 28 weeks 
He has them around 3 or more times a day. 
Should I be concerned? Would you bring it up to your doctor?

My daughter had them constantly until she was born, she would get them so bad you could see that she was having them by how my belly moved. I’ll be 38 weeks tomorrow with my son and gets them sporadically but nothing like how his sister got them.

Both of my kids had hiccups up until they were born. My 5 month old still gets them all the time. It is normal.

I had to have an ultrasound, NST, and a doctors appt every week from 32 weeks on because of Pre E/HELLP risks. The scans were looking for “readiness” each time in case it was a question of induction or keeping her in a little longer (very stressful). One of the things they needed to see each time or noted each time if it didn’t happen during the ultrasound, was her doing a gulping motion because that’s literally the baby practicing breathing outside the womb. Hiccups made them very happy to see! It’s totally normal and a good thing!

They are practicing breathing for the outside world. My son had them constantly.
