methotrexate Shot vs Laproscopic
Back story: In 2018, I had a surgery to remove my right ovary due to torsion of ovarian cyst. I only have my left ovary and tube intact.
2021: I’ve been trying to get pregnant, went to a fertility clinic and I was informed the only way I could get pregnant was through IVF because back in 2018, I was diagnosed with multiple fibroids and stage 4 endometriosis.
2022: July 25, I found out I was pregnant naturally, was super happy and excited. First time ever seeing a positive HCg test after several years of trying.
August: HCg was increasing but not doubling. Went to ER on August 12 after I noticed some bleeding when I pee and I was cramping real bad. Bleeding continued till yesterday August 17th, had to go to ER again because bleeding had not stopped.
After several test, the baby was discovered in my tubes with a weak heartbeat. They wanted to do surgery but I vehemently refused because I was informed I’ll be losing my only remaining tube. I opted for the shot instead.
Has anyone ever taken the shot and everything cleared? I can’t risk losing my only tube through surgery and I’m also scared of putting my life in danger by denying it.
Lot of what ifs going through my head right now. I badly want to be able to conceive naturally (despite all odds) but I also don’t want a ruptured or infected tube which would put my life at risk.
