Personally, would you give your significant other another chance if they cheated on you?

I’m only asking because people around me have experienced this and have rekindled things and got back together. Everyone is different and I’m curious as to how everyone feels about that.

I personally feel like once someone cheats you lose that trust in a relationship as well. And once that is gone. I feel like the relationship is as well.

Why stay w someone who I loved and trusted so much but thought loved and trusted me. Things won’t be the same after he cheated and I forgive & get back w him. I can’t look at him the same. Love him the same.  Care for him the same. Etc etc. I don’t play about MYSELF and LOVE period.

For me there is no circumstance that cheating would ever be forgiven. The relationship is dead and I’d never be able to love them after that. The end.

The way I think about it is this, 
CHEAT WITH CONSENT!
Soooo many factors goes into this for me. 
1. Why exactly did you cheat? If it is because something is not right in the bedroom, we need to spice it up a little more. If it is emotional, what am I doing that is not satisfying you and how can we improve that?
2. If you even think about cheating, let me know and tell me why you want to do that. 
3. I am not gonna be the one person who never gets cheated on. Damn, if Beyonce can get cheated on and still stay with Jay-Z’s ugly cheating ass, what makes me think I’m more special than her?
4. ALL MEN CHEAT. Now before you come at my neck… I know some of them do not actually go through with it, but mentally, they’ve done it for sure, so why not allow him a second chance. 
5. I’m black, so a majority of the black mfs around me believe in this generational mentality that ‘you need a main and a side’ what makes me think I will change that? 
Aight. So, point being, yes, I’ll give a second chance, we set boundaries with the second chance, and if you do it a second time, WITHOUT MY CONSENT (aka, like a sexy bedroom thing or what not) I’m out. Cause that just means you don’t respect me.

Yea my bf cheated on me just before our 4 year anniversary and were still together almost 5 years later. I think it depends on the type of cheating the reasoning etc. Nothing was actually wrong with our relationship and it was nothing serious (not like an affair). It was because our sex life was lacking for months prior due to jobs/depression/sex drive etc. So he slept with his coworker once. I found out and confronted him don't get me wrong it still hurt mostly the lack of communication/deciept.
