Never make another meal. That’s just teaching babe that they can refuse any meal to get what they want. It’s not always about like or dislike but more about control.

My picky kid will ask for something specific and then refuse to eat it. I leave it for a little while then put it away. If she wants to eat she can get it. I'm not making multiple meals.

Always offer a food on the plate that you know they'll eat. If they like bananas always add a banana to the plate and if that's all they eat ateast they've eaten something.

I just assume she’s not hungry and she’ll eat it when she’s hungry. I either leave it out or put it away and reheat when she’s hungry. I only feed her things I know she likes though. If it was something I wasn’t sure she’d like, I’d make her something else.

My daughter is 2.5 and i will usually try to get her to eat at least something from her plate even if it is not every part of the meal. The parts that she is hesitant on i will ask her if she can pick up a piece, if she does that I ask her to kiss it, if she does that I ask her to lick it and if she does I ask her to take a small bite. If at any point she says no or yuck i respect that and just let her eat what she wants from her plate, but most of the time she gets to the point of taking a bite and realizes it’s something she likes. Sometimes she won’t touch anything on her plate, and the other night we noticed a pattern it is typically when I make a casserole or one pan type dish that she won’t touch anything, but we have taught her that if she stays calm and she doesn’t want to try any part of her dinner she can ask for a sandwich or quesadilla instead. I guess she doesn’t like everything touching. Sometimes this also happens if she skips her nap and is over tired too. This usually happens less than once or twice a month, and even if I make her what she asks for i still keep the plate in front of her with whatever I cooked for dinner.

If it’s a new thing they haven’t ate I always make other things I know they will eat with it. But we have a rule you have to try it before you claim you don’t like it. At least two bites. I ain’t making a new meal y’all can miss me w that 😂👋🏻

I go about this a couple different ways and here's whag I mean say I make lunch and she is just point blank not eating it because it's what she wanted bit I know it's a food she likes then she can wait till next meal. On the other hand If I make a "new" food I will allow here to try and it through the day if she wants however if she never reys it and just doesn't wanna atleast try then again of back to wait till next Ean or at the very list absolutely no snack the next day
