Why wait ?

Why dose my doctor want to wait for me to come in till I’m 8-12 weeks pregnant?

It’s normal practice for most places.
No need to be seen before that time unless there’s any medical history of miscarriages or things that need to be checked

I think its just the standard. They can't see much that early, and with healthy, normal pregnancies they don't have a reason to. It was like that with my first pregnancy, but that ended in a mmc - so this pregnancy I've been seen earlier. Plus I have an sch that caused a lot of anxiety so I've had additional monitoring to ease my mind.

Because you usually can't see anything until 7 weeks anyways and at 8 weeks it's easier to find the heartbeat and you can also see it. Up until 5-6 weeks most pregnancies aren't even able to be seen on ultrasound and until 7-8 weeks you can't see or hear the heatbeat.

There’s nothing to really see before that? The only thing is whether there is something in the uterus or nothing. It’s not very productive. A positive test is a positive test l and there isn’t much else to do u til it’s big enough to actually look at stuff. 
I had a couple weird periods and was actively trying, so my first ultrasound was at what ended up being 5 weeks, but could have been 9 based on dating and symptoms, just to see what was going on.

Because you can’t see much on an ultrasound before then. 
If you have concerns or bleeding or pain, tell the receptionist that. If no, it’s standard to wait until closer to the second trimester.
