Is 47 pounds for a female age 7 normal? My daughter went to her physical a few months ago and she was 43 pounds. I have been trying my best to get her weight up since then because her doctor said she is a little under weight..

How is her weight curve? Is she following that?
I was underweight from 10 to 22 years of age. I ate plenty of food, I just didn't gain weight. And even as I just passed into normal weight at 22 years old it wasn't until I become a mom at 29 years old I gained enough weight to be a bit further from what's considered underweight.
Don't get to obsessed with her weight. It's so damaging in the long run if they pick it up. And children pick things up so quickly!

That sounds fine to me. Normal weight range varies because of heights varying so much at that age… But anywhere from 39 to 74 pounds is normal for that age.￼￼ That would be anywhere from 5th to 95th percentile.

Is she on her normal growth curve? And is her height average? Her pediatrician said SHE was under weight or she's weighs less than average for her age? My eldest will be 6 in December and weighs 37 lbs. He's pretty far under average for his age group (43-45 lbs) but he's also very short and has been on the same growth curve since about 15 months old.
