Why are some woman opposed to getting an epidural during labor & delivery? I am being induced tonight at 41+3 and my doctor insists I get the epidural as soon as possible since all my cervix checks have been extremely painful for me and dilation has not started much on it’s own. I would like to not have the epidural and I think my reasoning for that is because I want to know that I can handle it without that, but I am curious if anyone opposes it for any other reason?
