Speech Therapy
Our little man started speech therapy this week and it is stressful. He has started saying a handful of words/approximations (bunny, no, oh no, no way, why, eat, hi, Mama, Dada, more, ready, set, go, ball, open, up, down, one, ten), but he is almost consistently radio silent during his sessions with the therapist.
He goes twice a week for 30 mins each session, I am hoping he opens up more soon. She said I'm his evaluation his prognosis was good, but watching him struggle or just be silent really hurts.
Anyone else have a little one in ST? How did they do/are they doing and do you have any advice on how to support your child's transition to speaking with a stranger?
