Would you give your child a mentos?

Some kids age 4 were playing on the park and offered my toddler a mentos mint. I said no on her behalf. They are choking hazards right? Or am I just being paranoid? I still cut grapes etc.

I still cut grapes and anything round. I don't give gummies unless it's a half or third. I would have refused the Mentos also, or bit it in half. I don't think you're paranoid, they're still little.

My son has swiped a few from me. They are not a perfect sphere, but still not a huge fan. I have to remind him to chew.
