Just need to vent. Was I wrong??
I hate my boyfriends manager and coworker. My bf works at a gas station and is assistant manager (given he gets the pay but they've never trained him it's literally been months). But anyway last night he was supposed to work an overnight (10 pm to 8 am). I got worried because I drop him off and pick him up (he doesn't have a driver's license) but I don't mind he pays for my gas to get him back and fourth. But I got worried because I called at 9 am and got no answer so I went up there. The manager was there not clocked in along with another co worker (who was outside smoking a cigarette) literally outside talking and chatting for at least 30 mins. My bf was inside with a trainee ready to go I asked the manager if he could clock out because there's literally three other people here and he was supposed to get off at 8. She said she's not clocked in yet, that it doesn't always work like that, and it's between him and them not me him and them and that she needs to talk to him. Well he didn't say anything to me about talking to her just told me he should get off at 8 and I'm 21 weeks pregnant tired asf and honestly don't feel good and just wanted to get home asap. His co worker said "I worked an overnight and didn't get off until 1:00" which I only get doing if there's no one else there but there were three people there... He didn't even get to leave until literally 10 am and got chewed out before he left. I don't get why he needed to be there with three other people there even if she wasn't clocked in yet, she was there. And while the store manager was on a month vacation my bf worked literally 12 hour shifts like three days in a row and was told by the district manager on his one day off that he needed to step up and come in because everybody has to do their part. But the co worker that was smoking was only scheduled for like 4 to 6 hour shift while my bf and another male co worker (whose not assistant manager) was pulling 10 to 12 hour shifts. And both males got the message about stepping up. Idk was I overreacting or do you think it was justified for me to ask? Do gas stations just work like that?? I know when I worked at Walmart they had to at least ask me if I could stay late not just assume and make me work an extra two hours while they chatted outside.
And I forgot to mention the coworker that had the least hours while the manager was on vacation was the one making the schedules.
