Is it messed up if you have a gender reveal party and half of the people at the party already knew the gender?

Am I the asshole for thinking it's messed up that people knew the gender before the party except for a few people including family? 🙃

I was under the impression that only she knew and it was going to be a surprise for everyone - hence the gender reveal party!

I guess I feel like an a-hole for trying to be funny and saying the people that brought pink gifts already knew the gender before the party- not knowing I was being an a-hole for pointing out the fact people knew 🙃

And I feel really bad because I think her mom didn't know and it was just awkward 🙃🥴
