Successful sweep?

39 weeks today and had another sweep. Bleeding a little and cramping pretty bad. It hurts/uncomfortable to walk too. Is the bleeding and cramping a sign my sweep has worked? I did call my dr about the bleeding they said it was normal to come in if I had contractions but idk what contractions feel like sooooo 😂🫣

It’s hard to say. Majority of people bleed and cramp after a sweep as your cervix has been irritated. I was the same the day of mine and thought labour would be starting but nope stoped after a few hours. Fingers crossed this is the start for you!! X

Contraction does come in waves. Try time it between each cramping feeling you have, when it comes regularly like every 5 minutes, you should call your ob or go to the hospital immediately.

I bleed after my sweeps as well, it’s because it can irrate your cervix
