Just got a call from OBGYN saying my 1 hour glucose test came high.. is there something i should avoid eating now? 
Please tips!😭😩🤷🏻‍♀️
(I m also on progesterone for short cervix if that matters)

I have GD. The next step is your 3hr glucose. If you don't past that all you do is eat the recommended carbs and check your sugars 4 times a day.

Pretty sure you fast for the 3 hour test. If you do get diagnosed with GD then dr will give you a specific diet and you’ll draw your blood four times a day to keep eye on glucose. You can google gd eating plans or diets . :)

Did she not mention next steps? You’ll probably need to do the 3 hour test now and if you fail that too then they’ll go over with you a new diet as well as how often you’ll need to test your glucose daily.

In Australia we do the 2 hour bloods so we have a blood test drink the drink then an hour later bloods again and then an hour after that bloods I failed mine they said I’m on the low side what ever that means I have my midwives appointment on Friday

It’s so common to fail the 1 hour and pass the 3. I’m on pregnancy #4 and I’ve always failed my 1 hours. I go for my 3 hour test tomorrow.

I haven’t even had my 1 hour glucose yet but at my last appt my OB said NO simple carbs, try to eat more protein the day of the day before, stay hydrated, no sugary drinks. Which I’m already a high protein eater so that won’t be a problem for me.
